Kim joined Healthy Diets in 2009 and became a co-owner in 2011. Kim is a NC native who grew up in Mocksville. She found her love of nutrition while pursuing her Bachelor’s of Science at Baylor University in Texas. After completing her undergraduate degree she returned to NC and earned her Masters of Science in Nutrition from Meredith College. She is currently serving as President-Elect for the North Carolina Dietetic Association.
Kim believes that each person’s nutrition and health needs are unique and that individuals can thrive if given a plan tailored for those unique needs. Kim enjoys helping patients with IBS find relief through a low FODMAPS lifestyle. She enjoys being able to think out side the box with her clients to find a nutrition and exercise lifestyle that meets their needs. She is also training to expand her knowledge in the area of women’s health, specifically dietary management of Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome and endometriosis.
She and her husband, Philip, are high school sweethearts and were together for seven years before marrying in 2009. They are animal lovers, and have 3 cats, an English shepherd, and 21 chickens. She is an avid runner and enjoys gardening and fixing up her 130 year old farm house.
