Kate joined the Healthy Diets team in 2018 and has been enjoying the journey ever since. Kate received her BS in Nutrition at Meredith College and her Masters of Science in Nutrition from Appalachian State University. Through Appalachian State’s combined Masters and Dietetic Internship program, Kate completed her Dietetic Internship at various locations throughout central North Carolina.
Kate enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing disordered eating and eating disorders. Kate believes that it is truly possible to develop a healthy and positive relationship with food and the body. She also believes that a knowledgeable Registered Dietitian is an integral part of the recovery journey. Kate is in the process of becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CEDRD) under the supervision of Ryan Sobus, MPH, RD, LDN, CEDRD-S.
When Kate isn’t in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, soon-to-be husband, and friends. Her favorite activities are reading, hiking, watching Netlfix, backpacking, and playing with animals.
